| Flopping a Set |
| Introduction: Flopping a set is one of the most profitable situations you can have in Texas Holdem. Unlike other good hands like a Straight, a Flush, or a Full House it is not obvious for an opponent to see that you flopped a set. This means that Flopping a Set in Holdem Poker is all about implied odds. If the Flop is not dangerous (no Flush Draws, Straight Draws, or a Pair) you can build huge pots which will probably be yours. |
