| A Pair on the Board |
| Introduction: A pair on the board is very dangerous. Quite a few players will claim to have Trips and raise. You have to consider a few points: The higher the pair on the Flop, the more likely it is that someone actually has Trips. If you are the one with the Trips, do not slowplay this hand unless it is very strong, and there are no possibilities of a Flush Draw, or a Straight Draw. Some players, however, will slowplay and that can be very expensive for you. |
