Texas Holdem Poker Strategy

J-9 suited
Introduction: Jack-Nine Suited is normally a hand you only want to play in late position when there has not been a raise from any of the players acting before you. Ideally, you only want to play this when the players behind you have not shown any aggression at all. You want to see the flop for 1 bet only, and you want to be as sure as possible of that. You have to be aware of the hand you want to make when holding Jack-Nine suited. You are holding a suited medium one gapper. A straight or a Flush is what you are looking for. The Straight having more chance to win than the Flush when both cards are playing. And with a hand like this it is very rare that only one is playing. If you do not have the chance to make a Flush or a Straight after the Flop, you should check if there is no bet in front of you or Fold if there is any action. You should disregard any Top Pair you make on the Flop, although making a pair of Nines as Top Pair with a Nine as Kicker will be more valuable as a pair of jacks with a Nine Kicker. It is *not* worth the money. But if you do hit a Flush Draw or a Straight Draw you have to take the right action. When there are more then 5 players still in the Pot, you should raise when there has not been a raise before you. If there are 4 or less players in the Pot, a check or call is the best play. This hand will make a profit for good Texas Holdem players, but will be at least be a small looser for everybody else.
